Comfortable mountain chalet right in the ski resort
This is a cosy mountain chalet on a quiet residential estate at the heart of the ski resort. Various chair lifts and pistes are within walking distance. The tranquil locality lies to the north of Wolfsberg, not far from the Bad St. Leonhard motorway exit on the A2.
The detached duplex house comprises two identical semi-detached houses, each let out privately to holiday guests. Your holiday house has a lower and upper floor providing 85m2 of living space. It was last renovated in 2016. The wooden paneling, the tiled fireplace stove and modern appliances create a comfortable atmosphere. The lower floor comprises a double bedroom, a three-bed room and a shower room with a WC, while the upper floor consists of a cosy lounge with two comfortable sofas, a dining space, a separate kitchen and a separate WC. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180 x 200cm), a wardrobe and a dresser for storing your clothing. The second bedroom is suitable for three people, is a little narrower and has two adjacent beds and a further single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, a WC, a window and a washbasin with an illuminated mirror. After a day trip you can relax in the living room and spend sociable hours on the two sofas that face each other, with the tiled fireplace stove exuding cosy warmth and the flatscreen TV with satellite channels providing entertainment. On the other side of the room, the dining table with a corner bench and two chairs invites you to enjoy meals together. The kitchen is fully-equipped for convenient self-catering, including a dishwasher, a stove with a ceramic hob and oven, a fridge and freezer, a microwave, toaster, kettle and capsule coffee machine. There is a washing machine on the lower floor. The whole house is heated with the wood-burning fireplace stove or convection heating in all rooms. The hot water boiler is heated by solar panels. Please note that it is a non-smoking property and that pets are not allowed.
During winter as well as during summer there is an extra charge for electricity per day payable on the spot (see heating costs).
The living room opens onto the large roofed balcony with an extensive view over some rooftops in the neigbourhood towards the natural and mountainous surroundings. You can park your car right by the house. A roofed single parking space and a second parking space are available in front of the house. There are other free parking spaces by the Schwarzkogelhütte, 150 metres away.
You can benefit from this accommodation not only in winter, but also during the warm season, with a variety of activities in the area. You can find a local summer toboggan run, a climbing garden and an extensive hiking area, also for mountain biking. As it is a semi-detached house and the other half of the house is also let out, it is possible to book both halves for up to 10 people, ideal for two acquainted families to spend a holiday together.
It is about a 5-minute walk to the double chair lift (Hochegger ski piste), or 5 minutes in the other direction to the Schwarzkogelhütte, with a ski piste right next to it. A total of 28 km of pistes (13 downhill stretches) with a 4-seater and 2-seater lift and 3 tow lifts invite you to enjoy winter sports. There is also a (children’s) ski school with ski rental on this slope. Ski tourers and snow shoe hikers are also welcome. There are restaurants and bars 400 metres away awaiting your visit. There are shops in Bad St. Leonhard 14km away.
